In the media: The truth lives closest to the customer

Our CEO, Rami Cassis, appeared on Enterprise Alchemy for a wide-ranging conversation about growth investing and his assessment of the impact of AI for data companies.

Rami argued that you will never uncover the full business picture from inside the boardroom but instead by talking to clients, as their words are the fastest and most honest assessment of a company’s position. He applies this principle in the first 30 days of any growth investment.

Data companies will gain the most from AI, as AI relies on a steady database to support its day-to-day operations. Those businesses supply the raw material the technology depends on, putting them on the right side of this technological shift.

Regulation in Europe can have benefits but needs monitoring, as new guidelines should not come at the cost of innovation. Getting this regulation balance wrong would push AI growth elsewhere.

He also believes you cannot promise growth if you don’t pay attention to your sales pipeline, and CEOs often overpromise growth without checking their revenue streams. He applies the same discipline when judging a chief executive’s forecasts.
