In the media: CEOs must AI-proof their businesses, or risk failed exits

Insights

Our CEO, Rami Cassis, recently published an article for 9am Business arguing that any leader hoping to sell their business must show it can withstand AI disruption.

His message to business leaders hoping to sell one day is direct: profitability is no longer enough. Buyers are looking past current earnings to the durability of the model behind them.

Buyers are now underwriting whether a business model survives AI, not just its current earnings. A company whose work AI could replicate cheaply will struggle to attract a serious offer.

Rami’s position is that executives must ‘prove their business can withstand the test of time by AI-proofing it – or risk never securing a deal at all’. The burden of proof sits squarely with the seller.

The work has to start well before a sale process begins, not during diligence. Repositioning a business takes years, and diligence is far too late to start.
