Our CEO, Rami Cassis, was quoted on the sale of Parseq to Paragon Group, setting out why data services offer protection against AI disruption.
Parabellum has sold BPO specialist Parseq to global business services provider Paragon Group, with terms undisclosed. The sale closes a holding period that began back in 2007.
Rami believe that data and customer communications work is defensible against AI in a way that generic process outsourcing is not. The value sits in the accuracy and security requirements, not in the volume of tasks processed.
Parseq’s position as the UK’s largest BACS and cheque payments processor, handling over £36bn in payments annually, illustrates this point with its scale. It also digitises around 70 million documents a year for more than 75 international clients.
Businesses with strict data and privacy requirements cannot simply hand their processes to a general-purpose model. That constraint is precisely what gives specialist providers a durable position.
